I've slacked off a little. After the race Saturday I headed up to a friends hunting cabin. We did some goose hunting and drank too much (no, not at the same time). I didn't get home on Sunday until after 3 pm. I spent the rest of the day recovering on the couch watching golf. Then yesterday (Monday) I had some doctor things to do and watched my oldest play baseball.
What do all these excuses lead up to? Two days in a row with no running. I could definitely tell yesterday that I was getting antsy. However, I just didn't have the time yesterday to get a run in. You better believe I'll be out there this afternoon. A good reason to try out the new Brooks Defyance 3 shoes I picked up from Running Warehouse last week.
That's all for today. Not much else going on. At least not running related.

A break is never a bad thing. Besides - race = break earned. I have been on a break since running my marathon last Saturday!
